Description

The Whip XL is the longer version of the Whip, with a 21" top tube. Frame and fork are 100% 4130 chromoly, so the strength runs through the whole bike rather than just the front end.

Everything that spins is sealed: a Mission sealed integrated headset, a sealed mid 19mm bottom bracket, a Foxtrot sealed front hub and an Engage sealed cassette rear hub. A 20.5" top tube version is also available for shorter riders.

Features
  • Longer 21" top tube. The XL gives taller riders more room, with 13.25" chainstays and a 75° head tube angle. A 20.5" version is also available.
  • Full 4130 chromoly frame and fork. Chromoly through the Kink Whip frame and Circuit fork, with a 9" Kink T900 chromoly bar up top.
  • Sealed bearings everywhere that matters. A Mission sealed integrated headset, sealed mid 19mm bottom bracket, Foxtrot sealed front hub and Engage sealed cassette rear hub.
  • Kink Ridge chromoly cranks. The 3-piece tubular chromoly 170mm cranks drive a Mission Charge 25T 6061-T6 sprocket and a sealed 9T driver.
  • Clean, integrated finish. An integrated seat clamp, Kink Duran Stealth seat, Mission Stealth post, Kink Form grips and Mylar rims, all up 12.62kg.

Assembly information

Your bike ships mostly assembled in the box. Finishing it takes most people 10 to 20 minutes with basic tools, and the video above walks through every step.

  • Fit the handlebars and line them up with the front wheel
  • Fit the front wheel, pedals and seat post
  • Check the brakes and tyre pressure before the first ride

Tools: Allen key set and a 15mm, 17mm or 19mm spanner for the pedals and axle nuts (bikes can vary between these three sizes). A socket is needed if installing pegs.
