Description

The Hookworm is the original urban assault tyre and no stranger to the street. The bead to bead tread design is built for durability and traction in harsh environments, which is why it also turns up on cargo bikes and pedicabs, or anywhere a tough tyre is needed.

This is the 29 inch, running a single compound on a 60 TPI casing. Maxxis lists it for BMX, dirt jump, pump track and urban riding, on groomed tracks, pavement and skate parks, and it can go on the front or the rear.

Features

Bead to bead tread. Tread runs right across the casing for durability and traction, so there is rubber on the ground even when you lean it over.
The original urban assault tyre. A long running favourite for street riding, where kerbs and rough tarmac chew through lighter tyres.
Single compound, 60 TPI. A single rubber compound on a 60 TPI casing, built for hard wearing rather than featherweight.
Tough enough for cargo duty. Maxxis also lists it for cargo bikes, pedicabs and any application where a tough tyre is needed.
