Description

Meybo has your riding style right there in the name of this bike. The Steez is Meybo's acknowledgement that BMX riders sometimes like to send the really big stuff! This dirt jumper has an alloy frame to keep the weight down, 100mm front suspension, and a slammed standover height so you chuck those huge whips and not hang up on the frame.

Cromo three piece cranks and oversized cockpit means that this thing will take a few rough landings as you take your first steps towards a Red Bull slope style career

Features

  • Alloy frame with slammed standover. The Steez 26" alloy frame keeps the weight down and leaves room to throw big whips without hanging up on the frame.
  • 100mm of front travel. An RST Space 26" fork with 100mm travel takes the sting out of the rough landings that come with sending the big stuff.
  • Chromoly three piece cranks. Cr-Mo 170mm cranks on a 19mm sealed bearing bottom bracket put the strong stuff where the bike cops the most abuse.
  • Oversized cockpit. A 45mm oversized 31.8mm stem, alloy MTB bars and 130mm lock on grips keep the front end stiff and your hands where you put them.
  • Clarks hydraulic braking. A Clarks Hydraulic CH-19 lever and calliper give you the same pull every run, with 26" double wall rims and VeeTire Speedster 2.25" tyres underneath.

Assembly information

Your bike ships mostly assembled in the box. Finishing it takes most people 10 to 20 minutes with basic tools, and the video above walks through every step.

  • Fit the handlebars and line them up with the front wheel
  • Fit the front wheel, pedals and seat post
  • Check the brakes and tyre pressure before the first ride

Tools: Allen key set and a 15mm, 17mm or 19mm spanner for the pedals and axle nuts (bikes can vary between these three sizes). A socket is needed if installing pegs.

Rather have it done? Ask us about extra assembly before you order, or any local bike shop can finish the build for a small fee.

26 inch BMX sizing

A 26 inch is the largest BMX wheel, for riders about 160cm and up, on a 22 to 23 inch top tube. It is a ride feel rather than a size step: more roll and stability, still BMX geometry.

Rider heightWheel sizeTop tube
60 to 91cm12"12 to 12.5"
81 to 106cm14"14 to 14.5"
96 to 122cm16"16 to 16.5"

183 to 190cm and up20"20.75 to 21.5"
160cm and up22"21 to 22.25"
160cm and up24"21.75 to 22"
160cm and up26"22 to 23"

Sizes overlap on purpose, so personal preference comes into it. A big wheel rides longer than its top tube number suggests, so do not compare it straight against a 20 inch.

How to measure

Stand against a wall in the shoes you ride in, heels flat, and mark the top of your head. Measure from the floor to the mark.

  • Choose a big wheel for the ride feel, not because you are tall. Plenty of tall riders stay on 20 inch.
  • Coming off a 20 inch? Expect it to feel longer and more stable, and slower to spin.

Not sure? Tell us your height and how you ride, and we will tell you what we would put you on.
