Description

Close you eyes mum, these kids are ready to send it off the gate and the first jump and the Position One Mini is built to handle the rough and tumble of the Sprocket classes with an all aluminium frame and 100% CrMo forks ready for action. It's also nice and light, just over 7kg!

Other key components have been spec'd to increase durability and decrease maintenance. The alloy rims are double-walled which brings increased strength and the front and rear hubs are sealed to repel the dust from the track. 130mm Alloy three-piece cranks and smaller platform pedals all contribute to a package that has all the thoughtful touches of a bike suited for your youngest, and when they've outgrown it, because of the quality of construction, it'll be perfect for your next kid in line for the gate.

Features

Built for the Sprocket classes. An all aluminium frame with 100% CrMo forks handles the rough and tumble of gate starts and first jumps.
Just over 7 kg. At 7.1 kg without pedals it is light enough for a young racer to lift, throw around and pedal off the gate.
Sealed hubs front and rear. Double contact seal bearings repel the dust off the track, so there is less maintenance between race nights.
Double wall alloy rims. The second wall adds strength where a small racer lands hardest, laced 24H with 14 gauge spokes and brass nipples.
Three-piece 140mm alloy cranks. Geared 38x16 for a 47.26" ratio through a KMC Z33 chain, with small platform pedals sized for little feet.

Assembly information

Your bike ships mostly assembled in the box. Finishing it takes most people 10 to 20 minutes with basic tools, and the video above walks through every step.

Check the brakes and tyre pressure before the first ride

Tools: Allen key set and a 15mm, 17mm or 19mm spanner for the pedals and axle nuts (bikes can vary between these three sizes). A socket is needed if installing pegs.

Heights overlap between classes on purpose. Where you land in two, a growing rider is usually better on the larger, and a rider who wants the bike to turn faster on the smaller. Some brands label the Pro size Pro L, with the same fit.

How to measure

Stand your rider against a wall in the shoes they ride in, heels flat, and mark the top of their head. Measure from the floor to the mark.

Between two sizes and still growing? Take the larger size.
Racing gates and wanting the bike to turn faster? Take the smaller size.
Top tube is the number that actually changes the fit, so compare it against the bike they ride now.
