This describes the use of both angular contact bearings and angled bearing cups/hub bores used in the hub design.The AC-2 hub features revolutionary bearing installation and function never seen before in a bicycle hub.It has been designed from the ground up for ease of maintenance and optimal bearing performance.

Features

True 20mm bolt on axle. The hollow aluminium axle is a true 20mm, and the hub can be used with any standard chromoly, aluminium or carbon frame.
Angular contact bearings, wave spring. Twin 20mm angular contact bearings sit in tapered cups with a wave spring preload, so tightening the axle bolts has no effect on the bearings.
Serviced with snap ring pliers. Bearings, spring and shims are held by one retaining ring, so the hub strips and rebuilds without a press or a hammer.
Standard BMX 100mm width. It drops into a 100mm front end, and front and rear hubs are sold separately.
Billet aluminium shell. Machined from high grade, aerospace quality billet aluminium and weighing 220g with the 20mm bolts fitted.
