Description

The Profile AC-2 Disc Hub is Profile's newest hub and has the type of specs that racers crave. For starters, the cassette driver is unique as it allows for changeable P.O.E. (points of engagement). The hub driver comes standard with 6 pawls and springs. This option offers 96 P.O.E. -Maximum engagement. The other choice is to use just 3 pawls and springs. P.O.E. is reduced to 48 and minimal drag is achieved. This is a rider preference choice and both have a unique sound! Use your timing system to tune your hub for the hill you're racing on, and with the disc hub option, you'll be able to pull up manual with fingertip confidence.

Features
  • Tune your own engagement. Run six pawls for 96 points of engagement, or drop to three for 48 points and minimal drag, whichever suits the hill.
  • Disc brake option. With the disc setup you get fingertip confidence on the brake, so you can pull up into a manual with control.
  • 20mm angular contact bearings. A wave spring sets the pre-load, so tightening the axle bolts has no effect at all on how the bearings run.
  • Serviced with snap ring pliers. Bearings, wave spring and shims are held on the axle by one retaining ring, so no press or hammer is needed.
  • Bearings that seat true. Tapered cups mate with angled bores in the shell, keeping both sides in alignment for better bearing life.
