Description

Buying a bike for your child can be daunting, so Radio built the Zuma range around the idea of a kid sized MTB. The geometry is researched for smaller riders, sitting between a bike a child can learn the basics on and a more capable MTB for off road weekend rides with the parents.

The range runs from 14" for a first time rider up to this 26" wheeled machine for the aspiring rookie. It uses a 6061-T6 alloy frame and rigid alloy fork with Promax mechanical disc brakes, and takes children specific parts from Promax, KMC, FSA, Vee Rubber and Satori.

Features

  • Sized for the aspiring rookie. The 26" Zuma is the biggest in the range, with geometry researched around younger riders who have outgrown the smaller sizes.
  • Light 6061-T6 alloy frame. Alloy keeps the weight down, so the bike still feels manageable at full size on longer off road rides with the parents.
  • Rigid alloy fork. The straight Zuma 26 fork is 6061-T6 alloy as well, keeping the front end light and simple with nothing to service.
  • Disc brakes front and rear. Promax DSK-310 mechanical discs with an alloy BL-42 lever give confident stopping on off road tracks and weekend family rides.
  • Cockpit scaled to smaller hands. 130mm flangeless grips, a 1" rise 31.8mm alloy bar and a 45mm reach frontload stem put the controls within easy reach.

Assembly information

Your bike ships mostly assembled in the box. Finishing it takes most people 10 to 20 minutes with basic tools, and the video above walks through every step.

  • Fit the handlebars and line them up with the front wheel
  • Fit the front wheel, pedals and seat post
  • Check the brakes and tyre pressure before the first ride

Tools: Allen key set and a 15mm, 17mm or 19mm spanner for the pedals and axle nuts (bikes can vary between these three sizes). A socket is needed if installing pegs.

Rather have it done? Ask us about extra assembly before you order, or any local bike shop can finish the build for a small fee.
