Description

It was only a matter of time before Radio Raceline started to produce complete race bikes to shake up the traditional race bike market, The Radio Raceline Quartz Pro L is the first size offered in the 3 bike Quartz range. With a (near) Pro XL top tube length at 20.9 inches, this lightweight hydro-formed frame is spec'd with some very impressive parts like the Radio Solar carbon fork and hydraulic disc brakes.

The Radio Quartz has class leading frame geometry design, and materials utilised in its construction are at the top end of any complete race bike available on the market today . Add to that that Radio have nailed the colourway and graphics and we'll be lucky if any are left by the time you finish reading this description!

The vital stats are listed below, but make sure you check the specification table to drill down into what makes this bike unique in the sub $3000 race market. We've been building custom race bikes for a number of years now at LUXBMX, and we can hand on heart say, you wouldn't get anything near the level that this bike straight out of the box. Bolt on your clip pedals and tear out the fastest hill times you've ever done. The Radio Quartz is that good!

Features
  • Radio Solar carbon fork. A full carbon fork with a 1-1/8" to 1.5" tapered steerer and 32mm offset, one of the standout parts on this build.
  • Hydraulic disc brake, 140mm rotor. A Radio Raceline two finger lever runs the rear hydraulic disc, straight out of the box.
  • Hydroformed 6061-T6 alloy frame. Tapered head tube, forged dropouts, internal chain tensioners, the new sliding dropout and internal cable routing.
  • Pro L, 20.9 inch top tube. The first size in the three bike Quartz range, near Pro XL length, with an 11.6" bottom bracket height and 43x16 gearing.
  • Tubeless ready Argon Pro rims. Sleeved 36H alloy rims on fully sealed Turbine hubs with stainless spokes, running 20x1.75" tyres.

Assembly information

Your race bike ships mostly assembled in the box. Finishing it takes most people 10 to 20 minutes with basic tools, and the video above walks through every step.

  • Fit the handlebars and line them up with the front wheel
  • Fit the front wheel, pedals and seat post
  • Spin the rear wheel and check the rotor runs clear of the calliper
  • Check the brake and tyre pressure before the first ride

Disc brakes: keep your fingers off the rotor and pads, because oil from your skin contaminates the braking surface and takes the bite away. If the rotor rubs, loosen the two calliper bolts, squeeze the lever, then tighten them again with the lever held on. Bed the brake in with a few firm stops before you race it.

Tools: Allen key set and a 15mm spanner for the pedals. Check your axle hardware, since race bikes vary between bolt-on nuts and a thru-axle.
