Description

The Radio Xenon Junior Disc is for riders ready to go faster and get serious on the track. It is built around a hydroformed 6061-T6 alloy frame with forged, disc brake mount ready dropouts, and a full chromoly fork with a 1" butted steerer keeps the front end solid.

The build is Radio Raceline Xenon: 155mm 3-piece forged alloy cranks on a sealed square taper bottom bracket, a sealed cassette hub, Tioga Power Block tyres and an Arise Xenon disc brake out back. At 7.78kg it stays light for its size.

  • 7.78kg on the scales. Light for a 20 inch race bike, so a junior rider can snap out of the gate and hold speed through the straights.
  • Hydroformed 6061-T6 alloy frame. Light and stiff with forged, disc brake mount ready dropouts, ready for proper race pace.
  • Rear disc brake. An Arise Xenon disc and matching lever give reliable stopping lap after lap, in the wet as well as the dry.

Assembly information

Your race bike ships mostly assembled in the box. Finishing it takes most people 10 to 20 minutes with basic tools, and the video above walks through every step.

  • Fit the handlebars and line them up with the front wheel
  • Fit the front wheel, pedals and seat post
  • Spin the rear wheel and check the rotor runs clear of the calliper
  • Check the brake and tyre pressure before the first ride

Disc brakes: keep your fingers off the rotor and pads, because oil from your skin contaminates the braking surface and takes the bite away. If the rotor rubs, loosen the two calliper bolts, squeeze the lever, then tighten them again with the lever held on. Bed the brake in with a few firm stops before you race it.

Tools: Allen key set and a 15mm spanner for the pedals. Check your axle hardware, since race bikes vary between bolt-on nuts and a thru-axle.
