Description

Building upon their ever increasing successes, the Radio Xenon range is solidifying itself as a trusted mid level complete race bike. The Radio Xenon Junior Bike comes with an array of race winning components, including disc brake ready dropouts.

The frame is manufactured from hydro-formed 6061-T6 alloy, with forks fully built from chromoly, from the steerer tube, to the fork legs. This means that it's a light bike, yet with tough forks, so that it can take on the biggest jumps that your sprocket rider can throw at it.

Sealed bottom bracket and hubs keep maintenance down to a minimum, with quality Radio Raceline components fitted across the bike. The ever-dependable Tioga Powerblocks are employed to keep this pocket rocket rolling and sticking to the race line in the corners.

This BMX race bike is perfectly suited to the rider starting off their racing journey at a club level, whether they are starting off at a club's training sessions, or tackling club racing.

And when they are ready to move their racing up a notch or two, then the Radio Xenon is ready to move with them with a disc brake ready rear disc hub and dropout set up. This means that you can upgrade the brakes or wheels as they take things a little more seriously.

Features

Light alloy frame, chromoly fork. Hydroformed 6061-T6 brings the bike in at 8.07kg while the fully chromoly fork takes the landings a young racer dishes out.
Disc brake ready dropouts. Forged dropouts and a disc cassette rear hub let you upgrade the brakes or wheels as the racing gets more serious.
Junior sized cockpit and cranks. A 40mm topload stem, 24" wide bars with 4.25" rise and 155mm cranks fit a smaller rider properly.
Sealed hubs and bottom bracket. Fully sealed Xenon hubs and a sealed BSA square taper bottom bracket keep the maintenance down between meets.
Tioga Powerblock tyres, 20 x 1-1/8". The dependable race tread on 28H Clipper Junior rims sticks to the race line through the corners.

Assembly information

Your bike ships mostly assembled in the box. Finishing it takes most people 10 to 20 minutes with basic tools, and the video above walks through every step.

Fit the handlebars and line them up with the front wheel
Fit the front wheel, pedals and seat post
Check the brakes and tyre pressure before the first ride

Tools: Allen key set and a 15mm, 17mm or 19mm spanner for the pedals and axle nuts (bikes can vary between these three sizes). A socket is needed if installing pegs.

Heights overlap between classes on purpose. Where you land in two, a growing rider is usually better on the larger, and a rider who wants the bike to turn faster on the smaller. Some brands label the Pro size Pro L, with the same fit.

How to measure

Stand your rider against a wall in the shoes they ride in, heels flat, and mark the top of their head. Measure from the floor to the mark.

Between two sizes and still growing? Take the larger size.
Racing gates and wanting the bike to turn faster? Take the smaller size.
Top tube is the number that actually changes the fit, so compare it against the bike they ride now.
