Description

Buying a bike for your child can be daunting, that’s why Radio developed the Radio Zuma 14 inch Bike, to make it that much easier! Based around the concept of a kid sized Mountain bike, the Radio Zuma 14 inch wheeled Bike are an incredibly lightweight bike, with carefully researched geometry and designed specifically around smaller riders as the perfect balance between a bike for a child to learn the basics on, and a more advanced Mountain Bike for off-road riding conditions for weekend rides with the parents, or thrashing the pump track!

Features

A kid sized mountain bike. Built around 14 inch wheels with geometry researched for smaller riders, for learning the basics and for off-road rides.
Mechanical disc brakes, front and rear. Promax DSK-310 callipers on 140mm rotors with alloy levers give small hands controlled stopping in any weather.
Light 6061-T6 alloy frame and fork. The whole bike is 7.18kg, so a small rider can pick it up and handle it on the pump track.
89mm junior cranks, sealed bottom bracket. Short forged alloy arms suit little legs and the sealed BSA square taper bottom bracket keeps grit out.
Seat post that grows with them. The 320mm multi-adjust Promax post can be cut down to suit the rider, on a railed Zuma seat.

Assembly information

Your bike ships mostly assembled in the box. Finishing it takes most people 10 to 20 minutes with basic tools, and the video above walks through every step.

Fit the handlebars and line them up with the front wheel
Fit the front wheel, pedals and seat post
Check the brakes and tyre pressure before the first ride

Tools: Allen key set and a 15mm, 17mm or 19mm spanner for the pedals and axle nuts (bikes can vary between these three sizes). A socket is needed if installing pegs.

Sizes overlap on purpose, so personal preference comes into it. At this wheel size the top tube barely changes the fit: go by height, and check they can stand over the bike flat footed.

How to measure

Stand your rider against a wall in the shoes they ride in, heels flat, and mark the top of their head. Measure from the floor to the mark.

Between two wheel sizes? Go up. Kids grow into a bike far faster than they grow out of the fun.
They should be able to stand over the top tube with both feet flat on the ground.
