Flight 401 50th Anniversary Crank Set
In this, Redline's 50th Year of innovation in BMX, they offer a limited quantity of Redline Vintage Flight Cranks with a series of custom features to memorialize the brand's founding in 1974. 150 x Sets will be available in the United States and 50 x Sets here in Australia / New Zealand.

Referencing original drawings and built to original era specifications, the legendary single pinch, full wrap 401 Series Flight Crank returns. In the 1980s, the Redline Flight Crank was the transmission of choice for pro racers, local heroes, and neighbourhood kids with the work ethic to cut grass, clean cars, and save every dollar and cent in a bid to equip their Haro, Redline, Hutch, or Diamond Back with the most advanced crank and sealed bearing set of the era. To this day, the Flight Crank stands up as a piece of genuine bicycle industry innovation.

The crank arm is formed from swaged 4130 chromoly steel, with decal pockets stamped into both sides and a single pinch bolt installation system. The crank is currently available in 175 mm length.

The iconic Redline Flight 44-tooth sprocket is manufactured using CNC engraving to recreate the logos and surface design accurately. The spindle borehole diameter reverts to that of the original 1980s crank and pairs with the double dimple Redline Spindle.

This iconic and highly authentic set is delivered in custom 50th Anniversary Redline Vintage packaging.

Features
  • 175mm arms only. The crank is currently offered in 175 mm length, so check that suits your frame and your riding before you commit.
  • Single pinch bolt install. The full wrap 401 Series Flight arm keeps the original single pinch bolt system, built to era specifications from the original drawings.
  • Swaged 4130 chromoly arms. Decal pockets are stamped into both sides of each arm, so the graphics sit down out of harm's way.
  • Two 44 tooth sprockets included. One in pale gold anodised and one in silver anodised, CNC engraved to recreate the original Flight logos and surface design.
  • Bottom bracket not included. The double dimple spindle and mounting hardware are in the box, but you will need to buy a bottom bracket separately.
