Description

Swing a leg over this beauty and let the world pass you by as you enjoy the ride. These big wheeled machines are designed for cruising in style and are available in a bunch of sizes so that you can get dialled in with the perfect fit.

The Monocog is a steel singlespeed 29er for the ultimate in simplicity. A chromoly frame and fork makes for old-school style and gives you the smooth ride quality that steel is known for. Durable double wall 29-inch wheels let you roll over obstacles, whether you are on the road or cruising on trails. Tektro mechanical disc brakes and a nice, wide 740mm riser handlebar round out the package for great control and a comfortable riding position. This fully rigid mountain bike is at home on trails, gravel roads, and even pavement to give you a versatile ride that’s plenty fun on the singletrack.

Features

  • Steel singlespeed 29er, no fuss. A chromoly frame and fork give you the smooth ride quality steel is known for, with one gear to think about.
  • Tektro mechanical disc brakes. MD-M300 callipers on 160mm rotors with ML520 levers give reliable stopping on trail, gravel and pavement.
  • 740mm alloy riser bar. The wide bar and 40mm forged stem put you in a comfortable, upright position with plenty of control.
  • Double wall 29 inch wheels. Formula alloy disc hubs on DDM-2 double wall rims with 14g stainless spokes roll over obstacles without complaint.
  • Four sizes to get dialled in. SM/15 through to XL/21, all with a 68° head angle and 74° seat angle, so you can find the right fit.

Assembly information

Your bike ships mostly assembled in the box. Finishing it takes most people 10 to 20 minutes with basic tools, and the video above walks through every step.

  • Fit the handlebars and line them up with the front wheel
  • Fit the front wheel, pedals and seat post
  • Check the brakes and tyre pressure before the first ride

Tools: Allen key set and a 15mm, 17mm or 19mm spanner for the pedals and axle nuts (bikes can vary between these three sizes). A socket is needed if installing pegs.

Rather have it done? Ask us about extra assembly before you order, or any local bike shop can finish the build for a small fee.
