Salt Plus call the EX the ultimate replacement fork: a short 28mm offset, hydroformed legs and an improved tapered blade design that brings the weight down.

The steerer is a butted two piece chromoly tube, redesigned and made stronger with m24 steel. Chromoly blades, 3/8" dropout slots and a 170mm steerer, 1148g all up.

Features

Short 28mm offset. Salt Plus have kept the offset short at 28mm, measured from the steerer to the axle.
Hydroformed, tapered legs. Hydroformed chromoly blades with an improved taper, which is where a good chunk of the weight saving comes from.
Butted two piece chromoly steerer. Redesigned to be stronger, with m24 steel through the steerer tube.
1148g on the scales. Chromoly blades and a chromoly steerer, with the reduced weight coming from the design rather than a lighter material.
170mm steerer, 3/8" dropouts. Common sizing for a replacement fork, so it goes into a standard front end.
