The Shadow Optimized freecoaster is much more than the next step in Shadow hub design. The performance, value, and strength of the Optimized Freecoaster is the materialization of modern day BMX riding through the eyes of our brand.

The Non-Drive side of the Optimized Freecoaster was designed completely around grinding. Included is a completely integrated non-drive side plastic hub guard that easily slides over the existing cone to simplify your installation experience.

We’ve designed a smaller hub flange to stay out of the way which allowed us to create a smaller hub guard that doesn’t need to be gigantic to get the job done. On the inside, we’ve moved to a more reliable bushing resistance system that dissolves all previous engagement issues. Creating a more enjoyable freecoaster experience for you.
