Skyway are proud to release the 2022 second generation of the original TA, as a frame set and a complete bike in 24”. The teardrop tubing has been sourced to make sure these bikes are as original as can be. Each bike uses the most appropriate parts to create that superior TA feel.

Owning a Skyway is not like just owning a bike. You are investing in BMX History that will be part of this sport for eternity.

Please note: Due to the rim/bead profile on Skyway Tuff Wheels there may be subtle inconsistencies in seating tyres to Skyway wheels. Due to axle configuration, there may also be a small amount of play in the bearing assembly. This is consistent with all Skyway sealed bearing wheels.

Disclaimer: Due to the nature of plastic moulded wheels there may be some discrepancies in edging, colour and consistency. This varies with each pair and are accustom to Skyway Tuff wheels.

Features

Second generation TA replica. Skyway rebuilt the original TA in 24 inch, sourcing the teardrop tubing so the frame stays as close to the first one as it can be.
Full chromoly TA Aero frame. Aero frame with a 15.8" rear end and a matching full chromoly TA Aero fork in a 1" threaded steerer, the way the original was put together.
Genuine USA made Skyway Tuff Wheels. 24 inch Tuff Wheels with colour coded Tuff pads and Duro 24 x 1.75 gumwall tyres, the look that made Skyway famous.
Redline 402 Flight cranks, 175mm. Turning a Redline 41T Flight chainwheel in a sealed USA bottom bracket, with Japanese MKS alloy bear trap pedals underfoot.
Dia-Compe brakes, Tech 3 lever. An MX1000 calliper on the rear with a Tech 3 lever, and a Japanese Tange MX320 alloy headset holding the TA Pro bars.

Note: Genuine Skyway colour coded Tuff pads included. The rim and bead profile on Skyway Tuff wheels can make tyre seating slightly inconsistent, and the axle configuration can leave a small amount of play in the bearing assembly: this is consistent with all Skyway sealed bearing wheels. Plastic moulded wheels also vary in edging, colour and consistency from pair to pair.

Assembly information

Your bike ships mostly assembled in the box. Finishing it takes most people 10 to 20 minutes with basic tools, and the video above walks through every step.

Fit the handlebars and line them up with the front wheel
Fit the front wheel, pedals and seat post
Check the brakes and tyre pressure before the first ride

Tools: Allen key set and a 15mm, 17mm or 19mm spanner for the pedals and axle nuts (bikes can vary between these three sizes). A socket is needed if installing pegs.
