Description

The S&M Pitchfork XLT for 18 inch bikes runs double butted, tapered 4130 chromoly legs and laser cut dropouts with a 3/8" slot. The steerer is a one piece CNC machined 4130 chromoly unit with an integrated bearing race and an extruded 6061 insert, 166mm long, with an M24 x 1.5 compression thread and a 6mm allen slot.

Axle to crown height on the 18 inch version is 290.4mm with 33mm of offset, and the whole fork is 4Q baked after welding. There is room for a 2.4" S&M tyre at most, and it weighs 0.97 kg.

Features

Double butted, tapered chromoly legs. 4130 chromoly legs are butted and tapered, so the wall thickness sits where the loads are rather than being the same the whole way down.
Laser cut 3/8" dropout slots. They take a standard 3/8" front axle and the slots are cut clean, so the wheel sits square first time.
One piece CNC machined steerer. The 166mm 4130 steerer has an integrated bearing race and an extruded 6061 insert, so there is no separate crown race to fit.
33mm offset, 290.4mm axle to crown. Those are the figures for the 18 inch version, so you can work out how it will sit against the fork you are replacing.
Room for 2.4" tyres. Maximum clearance is a 2.4" S&M tyre, and the fork is 4Q baked after welding and weighs 0.97 kg.
