Description

Just like its big brothers in the Pro sizes, the Speedco EVO Carbon Frame Expert XL is all class and used to winning. There's not a lot of options in carbon frames down at this size, but the Expert XL Speedco EVO doesn't scrimp on any features or build quality.

Constructed from Toray T-700 carbon just like all of the frames in the EVO range, the youth frames like this junior one utilise a flat mount disc brake mount for a compact braking set up. The little tackers will be stopping hard on this EVO frame and they'll need it because they'll generate speed like nothing else!

A 1-1/8th head tube on all 3 youth frame sizes means that you can run a little beefier fork in them. Something we definitely recommend these days as even the youngest of racers are hitting gaps that would test the best of us here at the shop.

There's no stopping progression though and that's why even the young crew need a tough frame like the Speedco EVO. It ain't heavy though! That's the advantage of carbon fibre technology, you can have cake and eat it too with the frame material thickness laid precisely where it needs to be, more where it needs to be strong like around the head tube and bottom bracket. Thin walls on the tubing where strength isn't needed so much.

These small frames weigh next to nothing.

Colour wise, the much anticipated EVO youth frames come in the exact colours as the Pro frames, with matching Avian forks available with them. Our tip is not to wait too long before pulling the trigger on one, we've been waiting a long while for these and if the demand for the Pro frames is any indication, then these will disappear quickly.

Features

Toray T-700 carbon throughout. The same carbon used across the whole EVO range, so the Expert XL gets the build quality of its big brothers in the Pro sizes.
Flat mount disc brake mount. A compact braking setup on the youth frames, so young racers can stop hard from the speed this frame builds.
1-1/8th head tube. All three youth sizes take a beefier fork, worth having now that even the youngest racers are hitting big gaps.
Carbon laid where it counts. More material around the head tube and bottom bracket where it needs to be strong, thin walls elsewhere to save weight.
Weighs next to nothing. These small frames come in very light, so a young rider is not dragging the bike around the track.
