Description

We know you're out there! This is the perfect cruiser for your assault on the 2026 World Championships here in Australia. We know who you are, you've been back racing for a bit and know it's time to pull the trigger and pick up a full carbon race rig.

You could could go to all of the effort of choosing all of the parts, but we've done it all for you. Starting with a Speedco Velox Pro XL 24 frame, this 21.75TT cruiser feels like a 20 inch race bike! With a low standover height, you'll barely believe you're on a 24. Weighing under 8kg, it's also extremely light for a big rig and the old race guy here at the shop can attest to its agility, having built a similar one for himself a few years back.

The matte green finish on this Velox frame has caught the eye of plenty on the showroom floor, and the specs will catch yours with nothing spared on this build. It mimics what customers have been building the past couple of years. On this cruiser you'll find Onyx hubs, Avian carbon rims and 180mm Beringer cranks. Nothing but the highest quality components. HT T2 SX pedals are bolted up to the cranks and up front there's Tangent Flatiron bars and a little nod to tradition with a Profile frontload stem.

Make no mistake, there's not a better race cruiser that you can click "add to cart" on and take racing at any level. From club nights to the world championships, this Speedco will tear up the track.

Assembly information

Your race bike ships mostly assembled in the box. Finishing it takes most people 10 to 20 minutes with basic tools, and the video above walks through every step.

  • Fit the handlebars and line them up with the front wheel
  • Fit the front wheel, pedals and seat post
  • Spin the rear wheel and check the rotor runs clear of the calliper
  • Check the brake and tyre pressure before the first ride

Disc brakes: keep your fingers off the rotor and pads, because oil from your skin contaminates the braking surface and takes the bite away. If the rotor rubs, loosen the two calliper bolts, squeeze the lever, then tighten them again with the lever held on. Bed the brake in with a few firm stops before you race it.

Tools: Allen key set and a 15mm spanner for the pedals. Check your axle hardware, since race bikes vary between bolt-on nuts and a thru-axle.

Rather have it done? Ask us about extra assembly before you order, or any local bike shop can finish the build for a small fee.

Heights overlap between classes on purpose. Where you land in two, a growing rider is usually better on the larger, and a rider who wants the bike to turn faster on the smaller. Some brands label the Pro size Pro L, with the same fit.

How to measure

Stand your rider against a wall in the shoes they ride in, heels flat, and mark the top of their head. Measure from the floor to the mark.

  • Between two sizes and still growing? Take the larger size.
  • Racing gates and wanting the bike to turn faster? Take the smaller size.
  • Top tube is the number that actually changes the fit, so compare it against the bike they ride now.

Not sure? Send us their height and we will tell you what we would put them on.
