The Speedco Velox Youth range is available in Junior, Expert, and Expert XL. Speedco has built upon the proven design of the Velox Pro frame and created a first class ticket straight to the podium for the young pocket rocket. Conceptually, the two frames look quite alike, but the features of the youth sizes are designed around the most important thing for the young and aspiring professional, minimal weight. A lighter, less rigid, less aggressive design of their older sibling, the Velox Youth are uncontested in the market today, period.
The Velox Youth frames feature a super clean 10mm dropout at the rear and same bad boy looks as its big brother Pro Velox frames that will destroy the comp's confidence when the lay eyes on your carbon race rig.
(Junior - Expert XL)
Head Tube: The youth frames use a standard 1 1/8" integrated head-tube to accommodate 1 1/8" or 1" steerer fork to keep the front end as light as possible.
Bottom Bracket: The youth models utilize a 68mm euro BB shell. The Juniors down-tube tapers to 50mm at the BB junction, while the Expert and Expert XL taper to 65mm for a smooth and lightweight look.
Drop Out: The Youth frames have a super clean 10mm drop-out.
Internal Cable: The brake cable is internally routed for an extra clean look, there is a small tube that runs through the top-tube so you don't have to fish your cable through the frame. You won't need to split your cable either, just slide it in with the full housing and you're good to go.
