Description

Things are really ramping up for the Stay Strong brand in 2026 and we're excited to join in on the celebrations of the launch of the V5.1 frames by build not one, but two custom race bikes based on these aluminium frames. 

You've clocked that this Pro XXXL build and that it looks like you're getting two bikes for the price of one with the split paint scheme found on the v5.1 frames. We admit that when we saw the build sheet that we were a little sceptical on the colour combos, but there's no doubting that you won't be seen out there on the race track on this rig.

Based on the 22.25 inch frame, you taller riders will appreciate the stability of a frame of this size. With proven geometry from years of racing experience behind this brand, this build wants for nothing in the part's department. Running Stay Strong carbon rims and their Reactiv hubset, alongside a suite of Stay Strong components in the cockpit paired with SD B-84 24mm cranks, this is a bike that will take the hits and the wins. 

An aluminium frame, carbon forks and carbon wheels, this is a classic winning formula that not only stands out with the black and yellow paint scheme, it'll add stability to your riding with it's long wheelbase and add to your trophy cabinet.

  • Built for taller riders. The 22.25" top tube and long wheelbase add stability for bigger riders, built on geometry proven over years of racing.
  • Aluminium frame, carbon fork, carbon wheels. A classic winning formula: the Stay Strong V5.1 Pro XXXL frame runs an SD Pro Tapered 1.5 V2 carbon fork and Reactiv 2 carbon rims.
  • Stay Strong Reactiv 2 hubset. A 20mm front and a 10mm disc race rear, laced with Spectre T302 Sandvik 14G spokes to take the hits.
  • Bengal disc brake kit. Stay Strong's disc kit matches the disc-specific V5.1 frame and the Reactiv 2 disc race rear hub.

Assembly information

Your race bike ships mostly assembled in the box. Finishing it takes most people 10 to 20 minutes with basic tools, and the video above walks through every step.

  • Fit the handlebars and line them up with the front wheel
  • Fit the front wheel, pedals and seat post
  • Spin the rear wheel and check the rotor runs clear of the calliper
  • Check the brake and tyre pressure before the first ride

Disc brakes: keep your fingers off the rotor and pads, because oil from your skin contaminates the braking surface and takes the bite away. If the rotor rubs, loosen the two calliper bolts, squeeze the lever, then tighten them again with the lever held on. Bed the brake in with a few firm stops before you race it.

Tools: Allen key set and a 15mm spanner for the pedals. Check your axle hardware, since race bikes vary between bolt-on nuts and a thru-axle.
