Description

The disc evolution continues as Stay Strong moves to the V5 version of their ever popular aluminium race frame series. The team behind this iconic brand know their race stuff and hundreds of racers around the world confirm this by taking out race wins and titles every weekend.

This is the Expert XL Cruiser frame and when we say that these are rare, we mean it. Not a week goes by without us getting a call about this sized bike. If your youngster is going to race cruiser, then it's a custom build bike and this frame is a great starting point.

What makes these Stay Strong V5 frames special? From the Mini to the Pro XXXL the same attention to detail is applied in manufacturing these disc brake beauties. Starting with the tested and proven 6061 alloy tubing that is butted in various directions, Stay Strong have applied their years of knowledge and experience to the geometry of these frames. They run a little higher BB than other frames in this segment, pitching the rider a little further over the front of the bike on the gate. Well, that's our take on the specs.

With new colours and decals for the V5 series of frames, plus the deletion of brake mounts carries over from the V4 frames all adds up to a smooth looking premium aluminium frame.

Features

Rare Expert XL cruiser size. Cruiser frames for younger racers are hard to find, so this is the starting point for a custom 24" build.
Butted 6061 aluminium. Tubing butted in various directions keeps the frame at 1617g, light enough for a youth rider to handle on the gate.
20.65" top tube, 15.6" chainstay. Cruiser length keeps the bike steady on the bigger 24" wheels while still fitting an Expert XL sized rider.
Euro BB, 10mm enclosed dropouts. Standard youth race parts fit straight in, and enclosed dropouts hold the rear wheel square under a hard sprint.
Disc post mount, 140mm rotor. Set up for disc brakes only, with the rim brake mounts deleted for a clean, premium looking frame.
