Description

The Model C takes Sunday's proven 20 inch geometry and scales it up to 24 inch wheels, so a bigger rider gets a bike that can be ridden with real control at full speed. The frame is 100% chromoly with an integrated head tube and chromoly down tube and chainstays.

The parts kit is all Sunday and Odyssey: sealed hubs front and rear, Odyssey Stage 1 rims, 24" Path Pro tyres, Twisted PC Pro pedals, Springfield brakes and lever, Broc Raiford grips, a Badge Pivotal seat and a quick-release seat post clamp. Finished in chrome.

Features

  • Pro-style geometry at 24 inch. Sunday scaled up their 20 inch geometry, so the Model C stays controllable at full speed instead of feeling like a cruiser.
  • 100% chromoly frame. Chromoly down tube and chainstays with an integrated head tube: built to take what a bigger rider puts through it.
  • Sealed hubs front and rear. Sealed bearings at both ends keep the wheels rolling smoothly and cut down the maintenance.
  • 24" Path Pro tyres, Stage 1 rims. Odyssey rubber and rims sized for the bigger wheel, so there is grip underneath you wherever you ride.
  • Springfield brakes, quick-release clamp. An Odyssey Springfield U-brake and lever for control, plus a Sunday quick-release seat clamp so seat height changes take seconds.

Assembly information

Your bike ships mostly assembled in the box. Finishing it takes most people 10 to 20 minutes with basic tools, and the video above walks through every step.

  • Fit the handlebars and line them up with the front wheel
  • Fit the front wheel, pedals and seat post
  • Check the brakes and tyre pressure before the first ride

Tools: Allen key set and a 15mm, 17mm or 19mm spanner for the pedals and axle nuts (bikes can vary between these three sizes). A socket is needed if installing pegs.

Rather have it done? Ask us about extra assembly before you order, or any local bike shop can finish the build for a small fee.

24 inch BMX sizing

A 24 inch cruiser is a BMX with a bigger wheel, for riders about 160cm and up, on a 21.75 to 22 inch top tube. It is a different ride feel rather than a bigger frame for taller riders.

Rider heightWheel sizeTop tube
60 to 91cm12"12 to 12.5"
81 to 106cm14"14 to 14.5"
96 to 122cm16"16 to 16.5"

160cm and up22"21 to 22.25"
160cm and up24"21.75 to 22"
160cm and up26"22 to 23"

Sizes overlap on purpose, so personal preference comes into it. A big wheel rides longer than its top tube number suggests, so do not compare it straight against a 20 inch. Race cruisers are sized differently again: see the race guide.

How to measure

Stand against a wall in the shoes you ride in, heels flat, and mark the top of your head. Measure from the floor to the mark.

  • Choose a big wheel for the ride feel, not because you are tall. Plenty of tall riders stay on 20 inch.
  • Coming off a 20 inch? Expect it to feel longer and more stable, and slower to spin.

Not sure? Tell us your height and how you ride, and we will tell you what we would put you on.
