Description

The Park Ranger is designed specifically for technical park, transition and street riding. It draws on the Street Sweeper tube set and short chain stays, then adds a steep head tube angle, a tall bottom bracket, hollow dropouts with integrated chain tensioners and a significantly lower standover.

All of the braking and Gyro tab hardware park and transition riders look for is included, and all of it is fully removable. The front triangle uses traditional round Nightshift style double-butted top and down tubes with proven internal gusseting for added strength.

Features
- 100% 4130 Chromoly Frame
- Park and transition inspired geometry.
- Nightshift style, double-butted, top and down tubes with proven internal gusseting.
- Integrated seat clamp
- Butted Seat Tube & Mitre Cut Top Tube: A mitre-cut top tube creates a precise joint with the seat stays during welding. This increases the strength substantially over frames that use a “sandwiched” top tube at this critical junction.
- Tapered Chain & Seat Stays: Both chain and seat stays taper to provide a refined and clean look to the frame while still providing strength. They are both angled on the inside for improved chain clearance and weight savings.
- Hollow Dropouts with Chain Tensioners: Hollow 8mm wide dropouts are as light as a solid 5mm dropout, but over twice as strong. There is a small internal chain tensioner to hold the wheel in position and to simplify wheel removal.
- Removable Brake Hardware: Proven, removable brake mounts and cable guides/stops work flawlessly when installed and allow for a sleek overall look when they’re not.

Features

  • Made for park and transition. Sunday built the Park Ranger for technical park, transition and street riding, with the geometry to match.
  • Steep head tube, tall BB. A steep head tube angle and tall bottom bracket sit behind short chain stays to keep the frame tech driven.
  • Significantly lower standover. The frame sits lower than the Street Sweeper it draws from, giving you more room over the top tube.
  • Hollow dropouts with chain tensioners. Hollow 8mm dropouts are as light as a solid 5mm dropout but over twice as strong, with an internal tensioner holding the wheel.
  • All brake hardware included. The braking and Gyro tab hardware comes with the frame and is fully removable, so you can build it braked and strip it later.

20 inch BMX frame sizing

Frames are sized by top tube length. Start with your height, then let riding style decide where in the range you land.

Rider heightTop tube
147 to 157cm19.75 to 20.25"
157 to 168cm20 to 20.5"
168 to 175cm20.25 to 20.75"
175 to 183cm20.5 to 21"
183 to 190cm and up20.75 to 21.5"

The height bands overlap on purpose. If you land in two of them, riding style breaks the tie: longer for flow, trails and transitions, shorter for technical street and park. Plenty of riders, pros included, deliberately ride longer than a chart suggests.

How to measure

Top tube is measured from the centre of the seat tube to the centre of the head tube, so it is not the length of the tube you can see. Measure your current frame that way and compare.

  • Size up for stability through trails and transitions.
  • Size down if you want the bike quick and twitchy for spins and grinds.
  • Top tube is fixed once you buy, but chainstay length, stem length, fork offset and bar position all change how the built bike feels.

Not sure? Tell us your height and how you ride, and we will tell you what we would put you on.
