Available in 4 different Top Tube sizes so that you can choose the perfect size of bike to get started on. These bikes are packed full of goodies from Sunday and Odyssey resulting in one epic beginners BMX bike. The Sunday Primer features a Full Hi Tensile Frame And Fork, signature Sunday styling and a hell of a lot of stoke.

The Primer is a serious starter bike at a seriously great price.

Built around a pro-level geometry in a range of top tube sizes, the Primer is spec’d with quality parts like Odyssey Springfield brakes and Path Pro tires. The 2022 Primer also includes a fully sealed rear cassette hub and proven parts like the Sunday Freeze Stem and an FSA Headset.

Features

Hi-tensile steel frame and fork. A tough starter package built around pro-level geometry, so a beginner learns on a bike that handles properly.
Four top tube sizes. Pick the length that fits your rider now, rather than putting them on a bike they have to grow into.
Fully sealed rear cassette hub. Sealed bearings and a cassette driver mean smoother rolling and much less fiddling than a basic starter hub.
Odyssey Springfield brakes. A proper BMX brake rather than a starter part, so stopping stays predictable while your rider builds confidence.
Odyssey Path Pro tyres. Grippy tyres to learn on, matched with a proven Sunday Freeze stem and an FSA headset.

Assembly information

Your bike ships mostly assembled in the box. Finishing it takes most people 10 to 20 minutes with basic tools, and the video above walks through every step.

Fit the handlebars and line them up with the front wheel
Fit the front wheel, pedals and seat post
Check the brakes and tyre pressure before the first ride

Tools: Allen key set and a 15mm, 17mm or 19mm spanner for the pedals and axle nuts (bikes can vary between these three sizes). A socket is needed if installing pegs.

Stand your rider against a wall in the shoes they ride in, heels flat, and mark the top of their head. Measure from the floor to the mark.

Top tube is measured from the centre of the seat tube to the centre of the head tube, so it is not the same as the length of the tube you can see.

A 20 inch bike is the standard adult BMX and most riders end up there, so do not size a tall child down to a smaller wheel.
22, 24 and 26 inch bikes are adult bikes with a bigger wheel, not bigger frames for taller riders.
Size up for stability through trails and transitions. Size down if you want the bike quick and twitchy for spins and grinds.
Top tube is fixed, but stem length, fork offset and bar position all shift how roomy the bike feels once you are on it.
