The Definitive Cassette is the most advanced hub that Shadow has produced to date. With 120 points of engagement, the Definitive Cassette features a 3 pawl engagement system that uses 4 notches on each pawl for almost instant power transfer. The sleek and low-profile hub shell is CNC’d from 6061-T6 alloy, with precision bearings, 7075 hardware, and printed logos. Low drag, high engagement with minimal pedal gap and it sounds like a hive buzzing bee!

  • 120 points of engagement. Three micro notched pawls with individual leaf springs give almost instant power transfer and a minimal pedal gap.
  • 9T chromoly driver. The one piece 9 tooth driver is chromoly and spins on three precision sealed bearings for low drag.
  • CNC 6061-T6 shell. A sleek low profile shell machined from 6061-T6 alloy, running two precision sealed bearings and 7075 hardware.
  • 14mm hollow chromoly axle. The hollow chromoly axle keeps weight off without changing your dropout fitment, with the whole hub at 498 grams.
  • Takes Shadow Symbol guards. Compatible with Shadow Symbol hub guards, which are sold separately.
