Fresh out of the LUX LAB is this 22 inch trails beast. Built around the 22 inch version of Tyson Jones Peni's Chaos Machine we cut no corners in building the best 22 inch rig we could.

About the Brand
Wethepeople BMX began making its mark on history almost 15 years ago. Designing the first rough drawings of their frames and forks around the same time as the world started to see BMX in a different light, a time when rails were first grinded and the possibility that riding the streets was in fact the true way forward. To achieve their aims, Wethepeople knows exactly how to deploy their strengths with an efficiency that is unmatched in the BMX industry.

  • Fresh out of the LUX LAB. A 22 inch trails build put together in house at LUXBMX, with no corners cut on the parts list.
  • Tyson Jones-Peni Chaos Machine frame. The 22 inch version of Tyson's signature Wethepeople frame, 22.25" top tube, matched with Audio 22 inch forks.
  • Lewis LV2 post mount brake. Running a TRP 140mm slotted rotor into an Eclat Exile Disc rear hub.
  • Full Eclat drivetrain. Tibia XLT 170mm cranks, a mid 22mm bottom bracket and a Diesel chain behind a 28T Wethepeople Patrol sprocket.
  • Fat 22 inch rubber. S&M Mainline V2 2.4" tyres on Wethepeople Logic 22" rims, laced with Spectre stainless spokes and alloy nipples.

Assembly information

Your bike ships mostly assembled in the box. Finishing it takes most people 10 to 20 minutes with basic tools, and the video above walks through every step.

  • Fit the handlebars and line them up with the front wheel
  • Fit the front wheel, pedals and seat post
  • Check the brakes and tyre pressure before the first ride

Tools: Allen key set and a 15mm, 17mm or 19mm spanner for the pedals and axle nuts (bikes can vary between these three sizes). A socket is needed if installing pegs.

Rather have it done? Ask us about extra assembly before you order, or any local bike shop can finish the build for a small fee.

A 22 inch is a BMX with a bigger wheel, for riders about 160cm and up, on a 21 to 22.25 inch top tube. It is a different ride feel rather than a bigger frame for taller riders.
