Off The Couch Jam 2024: Raw Footage
Jams are one of the many ways that BMX can stand proud and continue to grow. If you've been lucky enough to make it to a proper great one, then you know what I mean, there is something magnetic about the collective excitement of a huge group of people, everyone hyped to be part of BMX and looking to ride, improve, encourage, learn and simply have fun.
Jams don't just happen though, as you would/should know, the things that matter in life generally take effort to achieve. It is then an honourable role that LUXBMX pro Boyd Hilder has assumed in managing the 4th (mostly annual) round of the 'Off The Couch' jam - held at Pizzey skatepark on the Gold Coast.

While I wasn't able to make it down for the day, I did spend 30 minutes last night enjoying the visual efforts of a LUXBMX raw video of the jam. It dawned on my while watching it that I'm super lucky to be able to sit on my ass, at my leisure, and watch a conveniently packaged video in order to feel a small sense of what it would have been like to be part of the jam. It definitely made me feel good and I hope it has the same effect on you.

Put your feet up and get into this, then get off the couch and organise your own jam. Or not, maybe just go ride, your call.
From the YouTube description:
BMX in QLD is thriving right now and there's no better way to see it in action then heading to one of the many BMX jams that get held during the summer months.
Boyd Hilder's Off the Couch Jam was back for 2024 and with over 300 riders and even more spectators it made for a hell of a Saturday afternoon! Massive thanks to everyone that got behind this and most importantly Boyd for all the hard work he puts in to it.
