New Zealand was the first stop for the 2024 UCI BMX World Cup season with 200 riders from across the world travelling to Rotorua to via for the glory of taking out the first World Cup of the year. At the end of Sunday's Round 2, it was Joris Daudet and Saya Sakakibara who took out the men's and women's elite finals.
