We've built hundreds of BMX race wheels with carbon rims and we very rarely ever see them fail, or buckle. Their ability to take big hits astounds us, and offsets the higher initial investment as they can take a case that would see you throwing away a alloy rims and fully rebuilding a wheel.

Features

451mm carbon, 28 hole. Built on a 451mm bead diameter with 28 spoke holes, so it laces into a mini, junior or expert race wheel.
Light at 272g. Front and rear both weigh 272g, which takes real rotating weight out of the wheel for gate starts.
Takes big hits. We have built hundreds of carbon race wheels and rarely see them fail or buckle, even after a case that would end an alloy rim.
Braked or non braked. Choose the version with a braking surface or the non braking rim, depending on whether you run a brake.
Presta valve, 420mm ERD. Drilled for a Presta valve with a 420mm ERD, so you can work out spoke lengths before you build.
