Apparently a Cygnus is a god of balance, who is represented by a white swan or an androgynous-looking elven woman... We beg to differ- we define it is an epic beast descended from the gods at DK Bikes, brought forth from the depths to wreak havoc on skateparks! These rigs are built tough with a chromoly front triangle, chromoly Three Piece cranks, Chromoly Steerer Tube in the Forks, 100% Chromoly Bars and soo much more! These rigs are built to shred! Sealed Bearings throughout the bike makes everything runs super smooth and the stacks of epic parts included makes this bike an absolute dream machine!

Returning to the line with three new colorways, the DK Cygnus 20” is a rider-favorite and with good reason: it’s value-packed and ready for the attack. The Cygnus is fitted with sealed bearings throughout, 3-piece chromoly cranks and 20 X 2.3” tires for all-terrain rippin’ and non-slip grippin’. A 20.5” top tube on the frame fits a wide cross-section of riders. On-trend 8.8” rise bars keep the ship under control. A 1-piece seat/post combo provides seating arrangements. The Cygnus is not only a great bike for the money, it’s a great bike.

Features

Chromoly front triangle. Chromoly through the part of the frame that cops the most load, backed by 100% chromoly bars and a chromoly fork steerer.
Sealed bearings throughout. Fully sealed Wise alloy hubs, a sealed integrated headset and a 19mm sealed mid bottom bracket keep it running smooth.
Three piece chromoly cranks. Wise tubular 170mm cranks with an 8-spline spindle and 25-9T gearing to handle the hard landings.
A 20.5 inch top tube. A middle of the road frame size that fits a wide cross-section of riders as they grow.
All terrain 2.3 inch Kenda tyres. Grip on rough ground from 36mm wide Wise Rectrix1 rims, with 8.8" rise chromoly bars up top, all up 11.5 kg.

Assembly information

Your bike ships mostly assembled in the box. Finishing it takes most people 10 to 20 minutes with basic tools, and the video above walks through every step.

Fit the handlebars and line them up with the front wheel
Fit the front wheel, pedals and seat post
Check the brakes and tyre pressure before the first ride

Tools: Allen key set and a 15mm, 17mm or 19mm spanner for the pedals and axle nuts (bikes can vary between these three sizes). A socket is needed if installing pegs.

A 20 inch bike is the standard adult BMX and suits riders from about 147cm up. At this wheel size the top tube is what changes the fit, so pick that by height.

Sizes overlap on purpose, so personal preference comes into it. If you land in two bands, riding style breaks the tie: longer for flow, trails and transitions, shorter for technical street and park.

How to measure

Stand your rider against a wall in the shoes they ride in, heels flat, and mark the top of their head. Measure from the floor to the mark.

Top tube is measured from the centre of the seat tube to the centre of the head tube, so it is not the same as the length of the tube you can see.

A 20 inch bike is the standard adult BMX and most riders end up there, so do not size a tall child down to a smaller wheel.
22, 24 and 26 inch bikes are adult bikes with a bigger wheel, not bigger frames for taller riders.
Size up for stability through trails and transitions. Size down if you want the bike quick and twitchy for spins and grinds.
Top tube is fixed, but stem length, fork offset and bar position all shift how roomy the bike feels once you are on it.
