6mm dropouts with 3/8" slots
15mm offset with integrated race

Description

The Federal Assault 15 is built from 100% 20/20 heat-treated 4130 chromoly, with butted and tapered legs and a hydroformed steerer tube. The 6mm dropouts are slotted for 3/8" axles and use 1-piece formed endcaps, which reduces the amount of welding at the tips.

A 15mm offset keeps the front end short, the bearing race is integrated into the crown, and there is room for tyres up to 2.40". The new style H24 compression bolt is included, and the fork weighs 1.0 kg (2 lbs 4 oz).

Features

100% heat-treated 4130 chromoly. The whole fork is 20/20 heat treated, not just the legs, so it stands up to a hard life on the street.
Butted and tapered legs. Tapered from 1.25" to 8.75" with butted walls, putting the material where the load goes and keeping weight off the rest.
6mm dropouts with 3/8" slots. Thick dropouts with 1-piece formed endcaps, which reduces welding at the tips and takes a standard 3/8" axle.
15mm offset with integrated race. A short offset keeps the front end tight, and the bearing race is built into the crown so there is no separate race to fit.
Clears tyres up to 2.40". Room for a fat front tyre, the new style H24 compression bolt is included, and the fork weighs 1.0 kg (2 lbs 4 oz).
