The Meybo Clipper range returns for 2024 to pick up on where the 2023 range left off to be one of the best value entry level race bikes on offer here at LUXBMX. We love the Meybo brand for its attention to race specific attributes of a complete bike, like frame geometry and great finishes on the frames.

Sealed bearings all round means that maintenance time is cut down, and if happen to live somewhere where you race in the rain a lot, then you'll appreciate that these vital components are a little more protected.

This Meybo Pro 22 Clipper is the perfect race bike for the rider jumping into BMX racing for the very first time (or returning after a long absence to ride with the kids) with well thought out component specs perfectly matched to this sized frame.

There's not many choices out there for taller riders to buy a race bike straight off the floor and with a 22 inch top tube, this Meybo is a saviour to 6 foot and over riders looking for a complete race bike solution to go racing with. Though we might slip on a set of 8.5 inch bars to bring up the front up to the rider if we grabbing this one.

Features

Built for taller riders. A 22 inch top tube makes this one of the few off the floor race bikes that suits six foot and over.
Tektro linear pull brake. A Tektro 319A lever with the 95mm J310AL alloy brake, a simple setup that is easy to adjust and service.
Sealed bearings all round. Maintenance time is cut down and the vital components stay better protected if you race in the rain a lot.
175mm SD Pro cranks. Long cranks with a 43T chainring and 16T cog for 53.48 inches, geared for a taller rider putting power down.
Pro double wall rims. 20x1.75 Pro double wall 36H rims, Vee Speedbooster 20x1.75 tyres and an SD Base cassette hub with 180 clicks.

Assembly information

Your bike ships mostly assembled in the box. Finishing it takes most people 10 to 20 minutes with basic tools, and the video above walks through every step.

Fit the handlebars and line them up with the front wheel
Fit the front wheel, pedals and seat post
Check the brakes and tyre pressure before the first ride

Tools: Allen key set and a 15mm, 17mm or 19mm spanner for the pedals and axle nuts (bikes can vary between these three sizes). A socket is needed if installing pegs.
