There's a myriad of choices out there on the BMX race carbon rim market, but here at LUXBMX we prefer to back Aussie companies as much as we can and with a 5 year warranty for original purchases, we reckon you can't go wrong with the Michram brand of OWT (Optimal Weave Technology) rims.
Made from a mixture of the highest strength standard modulus fibres available, the rims are then finished with multiple layers of hand woven T800 carbon fibre and bound together with a 255 degree high TG resin to give them Optimal strength and stiffness compared with other rims on the market.
These are the Pro 406mm (think 20 x 1.75) versions of the OWT rims and run a "square" profile at 30mm wide by 30mm deep and are as strong as a mallee bull! Run any tyre on them from a 20 x 1.60 right up to 20 x 1.95.
