Helmet Sizing

To ensure that your helmet fits perfectly, we recommend measuring the circumference of your head using a measuring tape. Wrap the measuring tape just above your eyebrows and around your head for accurate measurements. Compare your cm measurement to the chart below to find your ideal helmet size.

Pro-Tec recommends sizing up if you measure at the top of a range: at 54cm choose S. Not every model comes in XS or XXL.

How to measure

Wrap a soft tape measure around the widest part of your head, about 2.5cm above your eyebrows and just above your ears. Keep it level and snug but not tight, and read the number in centimetres.

No tape measure? Use a piece of string or a shoelace, mark where it meets, then measure the string against a ruler.

Between two sizes? Most helmet brands recommend the larger size and using the thicker set of pads. A helmet should feel snug all round with no pressure points, and shouldn't rock when you shake your head.
