Description

The disc evolution continues as Stay Strong moves to the V5 version of their ever popular aluminium race frame series. The team behind this iconic brand know their race stuff and hundreds of racers around the world confirm this by taking out race wins and titles every weekend.

What makes these Stay Strong V5 frames special? From the Mini to the Pro XXXL the same attention to detail is applied in manufacturing these disc brake beauties. Starting with the tested and proven 6061 alloy tubing that is butted in various directions, Stay Strong have applied their years of knowledge and experience to the geometry of these frames. They run a little higher BB than other frames in this segment, pitching the rider a little further over the front of the bike on the gate. Well, that's our take on the specs.

With new colours and decals for the V5 series of frames, plus the deletion of brake mounts carries over from the V4 frames all adds up to a smooth looking premium aluminium frame

The "youth" frames (Mini up to Expert XL, and Expert Cruiser) all run with a Euro bottom bracket and a 10mm enclosed dropout. The head tube on these sizes are 1-1/8 meaning that you can run either a mini 1 inch fork, or beef it up with a 1-1/8th fork.

Features

Butted 6061 aluminium race frame. Stay Strong butt the tubing in various directions, so the frame comes in at 1159g without losing the stiffness a gate start demands.
Mini race geometry. A 17.5" top tube and 12.9" chainstay keep the wheelbase short, so smaller racers can steer and sprint the bike properly.
Higher bottom bracket than most. The 10.6" bottom bracket height pitches the rider further over the front of the bike on the gate, where the sprint is won.
Disc only, post mount. Post mount for a 120mm rotor with the rim brake mounts deleted, leaving a clean rear end and one less thing to set up.
1-1/8" integrated head tube. Run a mini 1" fork or beef it up with a 1-1/8" fork, so the front end can change as the rider grows.
