Being loaded up with soo many Salt parts- this thing is built to shred!

Returning in radical colourways, the Prime is the most stacked balance bike on the market. Custom designed in-house in Cologne, Germany, the Prime features a super short reach CNC machined stem and knurled footpegs for an all-round better rider position and stability. The next generation of riders can now begin their journey into the world of BMX on a legit WETHEPEOPLE bike.

About the Brand

Wethepeople BMX began making its mark on history almost 15 years ago. Designing the first rough drawings of their frames and forks around the same time as the world started to see BMX in a different light, a time when rails were first grinded and the possibility that riding the streets was in fact the true way forward. To achieve their aims, Wethepeople knows exactly how to deploy their strengths with an efficiency that is unmatched in the BMX industry.

Features

Light at just 4.47kg. Easy for a small rider to pick up, turn around and control, which keeps them out riding for longer.
Short reach CNC machined stem. A 30mm reach brings the bars in close, for a better rider position and more stability from the first push.
Knurled footpegs. Give little feet somewhere grippy to rest once they pick up speed and start gliding.
Loaded with Salt parts. Prime fork, bars, stem and hubs on Salt Beam rims, with Kenda Kontact 1.75" tyres front and rear.
Designed in house in Cologne. Wethepeople styling scaled right down: a 12.2" top tube, 72° head tube and a low 4.72" standover.

Assembly information

Your bike ships mostly assembled in the box. Finishing it takes most people 10 to 20 minutes with basic tools, and the video above walks through every step.

Fit the handlebars and line them up with the front wheel
Fit the front wheel, pedals and seat post
Check the brakes and tyre pressure before the first ride

Tools: Allen key set and a 15mm, 17mm or 19mm spanner for the pedals and axle nuts (bikes can vary between these three sizes). A socket is needed if installing pegs.

Sizes overlap on purpose, so personal preference comes into it. At this wheel size the top tube barely changes the fit: go by height, and check they can stand over the bike flat footed.

How to measure

Stand your rider against a wall in the shoes they ride in, heels flat, and mark the top of their head. Measure from the floor to the mark.

Between two wheel sizes? Go up. Kids grow into a bike far faster than they grow out of the fun.
They should be able to stand over the top tube with both feet flat on the ground.
