Description

This is the male axle version of the BSD Revolution V1.5, the freecoaster with the upgraded spring-loaded clutch. In place of the traditional heavy cone-style clutch it runs a compact Planetary Clutch Mechanism, which BSD say makes it 30% lighter than conventional freecoaster hubs.

The result is immediate pedal engagement with virtually zero pedal gap, and no unwanted engagement on rollbacks. BSD say it feels and sounds like a cassette hub, and the low axial load means it does not need oversized hub bearings. BSD hub guards are included.

Features

Male axle version. This one runs the male axle, so pick it if your frame and hub guards are set up for male axle bolts.
Virtually zero pedal gap. Pedal engagement is immediate when you go forward, so there is almost no dead spot to wind through.
No grab on rollbacks. The planetary clutch eradicates unwanted engagement, so you can roll back and ride fakie without it catching.
30% lighter than most. Swapping the heavy cone-style clutch for the planetary assembly cuts 30% off the weight of a conventional freecoaster.
BSD hub guards included. Guards come in the box, so the hub is protected from the first grind without another purchase.
