Description

For 2021, the DK Sprinter Series bikes solidify their place as one of Australia's most popular race bikes. This bike is designed for serious BMX racing at prices that will keep your budget on track. All the Sprinter models start with a proven 6061 aluminium frame:

Light, responsive, and sturdy enough to withstand the rigors of BMX. On the front end of each Sprinter, you’ll find chromoly forks that can handle repeated harsh landings and keep you running straight out of the gate. All the Sprinters have sealed bearings throughout, linear braking systems, and alloy cranks in different lengths to accommodate each size in the range.

From the smallest Sprinter, the Micro, sporting an 18 x 1” wheelset, all the way up to the 24” Sprinter Cruiser, each bike in the collection features size specific specifications to accommodate riders for each class of bike. The smaller bikes see narrow tires and aluminum bars, while the Pro size and up Sprinters feature chromoly bars and more tire width to carry the weight of bigger riders, at speed. In terms of performance, quality, and value, you’ll be hard pressed to find better race bikes for the buck than the DK Sprinter series.

Features

Proven 6061 aluminium race frame. A 21" top tube and 14.8" chainstays for bigger riders, with 3D dropouts and internal cable routing: light, responsive and sturdy.
100% chromoly fork and 8" bars. The Pro size and up Sprinters run chromoly bars to carry the weight of bigger riders at speed, and the fork handles repeated harsh landings.
Forged alloy 2-piece 175mm cranks. On a 24mm external European bottom bracket, turning a 44-tooth 4-bolt chainring and 16-tooth cassette: 44/16 gearing, 54.72in.
Sealed bearings throughout. Fully sealed DK alloy hubs on 3/8" chromoly axles, a sealed integrated headset and 36-hole double wall alloy rims, with wider Arisun XLR8 tyres for bigger riders.
Race-ready at 10.2 kg. Alloy Pro linear V-brake, DK Tsuka grips with press-in bar plugs, DK Blender pedals and a DK Pro seat/post combo, in Smoke Chrome.

Assembly information

Your bike ships mostly assembled in the box. Finishing it takes most people 10 to 20 minutes with basic tools, and the video above walks through every step.

Fit the handlebars and line them up with the front wheel
Fit the front wheel, pedals and seat post
Check the brakes and tyre pressure before the first ride

Tools: Allen key set and a 15mm, 17mm or 19mm spanner for the pedals and axle nuts (bikes can vary between these three sizes). A socket is needed if installing pegs.

Heights overlap between classes on purpose. Where you land in two, a growing rider is usually better on the larger, and a rider who wants the bike to turn faster on the smaller. Some brands label the Pro size Pro L, with the same fit.

Stand your rider against a wall in the shoes they ride in, heels flat, and mark the top of their head. Measure from the floor to the mark.

Between two sizes and still growing? Take the larger size.
Racing gates and wanting the bike to turn faster? Take the smaller size.
Top tube is the number that actually changes the fit, so compare it against the bike they ride now.
