Back again for 2023, the Kink Carve is a staple in the 16 inch bike category. Great parts, top notch build quality and with a name like Kink behind it you know it's the goods. The first thing you will notice about this beast is it's clean and stylish Gloss Digital White colourway which is sure to stand out at any skatepark. The next thing you will likely notice will be the plethora of Mission parts stacking this bike creating one super solid steed. Parts include Mission X7 Rims, Mission Triumph 3pc Tubular Chromoly Cranks, Mission Rank 25T Sprocket, Mission Cypress Mini Combo Seat and loads more. These sure are a young shredders dream bike.

The Kink Carve 16” bike is the younger sibling of our Kicker 18”, and it ensures every age and every height rider can find a perfect fitting Kink bike. Kids are getting into BMX younger and younger, and we love it. The 2023 Carve comes in a great Gloss Digital White color, which is complimented by black components throughout.

Properly proportioned geometry and components create a modern, yet comfortable ride, suited for the rider who isn’t ready for the bump up to a larger 18” bike yet. Still stacked with great parts, the 2023 Carve comes with 7” Kink T700 bars, a short reach 40mm Mission topload stem, rock solid 3-piece tubular chromoly cranks with sealed Mid bottom bracket, a sealed integrated headset, and modern tread design 2.4” tires.

Assembly information

Your bike ships mostly assembled in the box. Finishing it takes most people 10 to 20 minutes with basic tools, and the video above walks through every step.

Fit the handlebars and line them up with the front wheel
Fit the front wheel, pedals and seat post
Check the brakes and tyre pressure before the first ride

Tools: Allen key set and a 15mm, 17mm or 19mm spanner for the pedals and axle nuts (bikes can vary between these three sizes). A socket is needed if installing pegs.

Sizes overlap on purpose, so personal preference comes into it. At this wheel size the top tube barely changes the fit: go by height, and check they can stand over the bike flat footed.

How to measure

Stand your rider against a wall in the shoes they ride in, heels flat, and mark the top of their head. Measure from the floor to the mark.

Between two wheel sizes? Go up. Kids grow into a bike far faster than they grow out of the fun.
They should be able to stand over the top tube with both feet flat on the ground.
