Description

The Kink Roaster is designed to be a child's first BMX bike. The 12" wheels and frame make it the right size for a young rider to feel comfortable on their first pedalling bike, with standard BMX geometry adapted to a child's needs.

A coaster brake takes the place of a lever brake that can be too hard for some kids to use at a young age, and wide 2.25" tyres give plenty of confidence inspiring grip. Built for ages 4 and up, with seat height adjustable from 15.5" to 18.5", in an Astro Red colour.

Features
  • Coaster brake, no lever to learn. Kids stop by pedalling backwards, so there is no hand lever to work out while they are still getting the hang of riding.
  • Sized for a first pedalling bike. 12" wheels, a 12.5" top tube and a 5.5" standover make it easy for small riders to get on, get off and stay in control.
  • Wide 2.25" tyres. More rubber on the ground means more grip and more confidence on footpaths, driveways and the local park.
  • Real BMX geometry, kid sized. A 74° head tube and 70° seat tube keep the handling familiar, just scaled down to suit a child.
  • Hi-Ten steel frame and fork. The Kink Roaster frame and Lance fork are 100% Hi-Ten steel, with tapered fork legs and 30mm of offset.

Assembly information

Your bike ships mostly assembled in the box. Finishing it takes most people 10 to 20 minutes with basic tools, and the video above walks through every step.

  • Fit the handlebars and line them up with the front wheel
  • Fit the front wheel, pedals and seat post
  • Check the brakes and tyre pressure before the first ride

Tools: Allen key set and a 15mm, 17mm or 19mm spanner for the pedals and axle nuts (bikes can vary between these three sizes). A socket is needed if installing pegs.
